We live in a hyper-accelerated, incredibly noisy world. To stand out as a designer, strategist, or creator, you don't need to shout louder—you need to curate.
"Curate to Differentiate: Build brands, bend time, find quietness" is a 6-part speaker series exploring the rare intersection of human psychology, digital systems, and physical, analog experiences. Over the course of six sessions, you will learn how to architect meaning in both your professional work and your personal life. We will journey from the mechanics of corporate retail curation and the evolution of the global Traveler's Notebook community, to building a digital "Second Brain" (using Obsidian, GTD, and PARA), mastering the psychology of romantic storytelling, and finding "relaxed focus" through analog tools like the Chronodex.

Patrick Ng
Brand Strategist, Creator of Chronodex &
Founder of ScriptionStudio.com
Patrick Ng is a brand strategist who operates at the rare intersection of human psychology, digital systems, and tactile retail. Armed with a formal background in psychology, he has built a career dedicated to understanding human behavior and designing systems that bring clarity to chaos.
His professional journey spans the full spectrum of modern commerce and communication. During the early internet boom, Patrick built digital foundations, working in ISP network operations, e-commerce, and CRM. He then spent two decades grounded in the physical world of brick-and-mortar retail at premium giants city’super and LOG-ON. There, he evolved from a traditional merchandising buyer into a lifestyle curator, designing experiential store concepts across Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan, and turning everyday retail into deeply engaging brand experiences.
Beyond his corporate tenure, Patrick is a passionate advocate for analog culture. He is the creator of the Chronodex—a unique, radial time-management system designed to promote "conscious time"—and the founder of ScriptionStudio.com. Applying his psychology background to emotional design, he also created the "Manual Factory Bear," a famous character that has become a beloved creative companion to journaling enthusiasts worldwide. Since 2006, he has been a pivotal force in the global Traveler’s Notebook community, organizing gatherings and connecting analog enthusiasts globally.
Today, Patrick is an independent consultant, creator, and international speaker. His current work explores the delicate balance between utilizing our digital "second brains" and the desperate need for physical, psychological anchors. Through initiatives like his recent "A Quiet Desk" project in Malaysia—an intimate social experiment consisting of 1-on-1 listening sessions—he investigates the therapeutic power of simply being present in a noisy world. At Keio University, he will share his framework for "Curate to Differentiate," showing students how to build resilient brands, bend time, and foster genuine human connection.
