Life is short. As we step into 2025, I find myself reflecting on the words: “做人如果冇理想,咁同做條鹹魚有咩分別啊?” (If one has no dreams, what’s the difference from being a salted fish?) Against all odds, I’m choosing to channel my energy into things, people, and projects I love—no more living on autopilot, no more decorating the rut. It’s time to break through, to create, and to support my family and myself by doing what truly matters.

The Origin of Chronodex: A Tool Born from Passion
Back in 2011, I created Chronodex to help with my visual scheduling and GTD (Getting Things Done) practice. As a visual thinker overwhelmed by meetings and tasks, I needed a system that was both functional and inspiring. Chronodex was my answer—a circular, clock-inspired planner that encourages radial thinking, creativity, and a holistic view of time.
For 14 years, I shared Chronodex freely with the world. Thousands downloaded it, customized it, and found new ways to make it their own. It became a cult favorite among creative planners, bullet journalers, and anyone seeking to break free from the rigid grids of traditional diaries. I loved seeing how people used colors, stickers, and their own notation systems to bring their days to life.
Why Now? Why Charge?
As much as I believe in sharing creativity, the reality is that I need to rely on myself to restart everything. Over the years, I’ve seen copycats sell “Chronodex” templates for as little as $6, often without crediting the original idea. There are rubber stamps, digital downloads, and countless imitations—yet the heart and story behind Chronodex remain mine.
For the July–December 2025 edition, Chronodex will be available as a paid digital download for US$30. This isn’t just about protecting my work—it’s about sustaining my livelihood, supporting my family, and continuing to create unique tools and products that help you live and work more creatively. I deeply appreciate everyone who has donated in the past. Now, I ask for your support in a new way: use Chronodex, and help me keep creating.

What Makes Chronodex Unique?
Visual, Radial Design: Unlike linear planners, Chronodex uses a circular format that mirrors a clock, letting you see your day as a whole and encouraging creative time-blocking.
Customizable and Artistic: There’s no single way to use Chronodex. Color, draw, and annotate your way—each day becomes a unique visual story.
Supports GTD and Mindfulness: With sections for focus, gratitude, and priorities, Chronodex is more than a scheduler; it’s a tool for reflection and growth.
Community-Driven: Over the years, users worldwide have shared their methods, hacks, and artwork, making Chronodex a living, evolving system.
Looking Ahead: New Creative Projects
I’m excited to announce that I’ll be working closely with long-time partners from the US and Japan on new projects that build on Chronodex’s unique DNA. Expect more creative tools and products designed to help you organize, reflect, and flourish—each infused with the same spirit of innovation and authenticity.

2026 is just around the corner, and I’m looking forward to a year of comfort, creativity, and maybe a little wine. If you’ve ever found value in Chronodex, now is the time to support its future. Buy the new edition, share your experiences, and stay tuned for what’s next.
Thank you for believing in creativity, independence, and the power of doing what you love. Let’s make every day count—beautifully, visually, and together.
