How to Use Chronodex - on MD Product

Here's how I use Chronodex, it is simpler than it looks.

Think of a grid diary — the kind where time runs in a straight line down the page. Now wrap that line into a circle. Time lives in the center, and everything around it becomes free space for your notes, thoughts, and ideas. You're no longer writing in a corridor. You're writing in a room.

The circle also lets you shade each time slot by priority. The more important the appointment, the more you fill in that slice. A quick glance shows you not just what is happening, but what matters most — so you can walk into your day with the right energy, already prepared.

Say something important is happening from 1:30 to 2:00 PM. Draw a line from that time slot, write your note in the free space, and shade the pie two levels deep. Want it to stand out even more? Draw a frame around the text or add color — let the page reflect the weight of that moment.

Fill your day the same way. Your highest-priority blocks get three levels of shading, your lighter ones less. Over time, a visual landscape forms — peaks and valleys that tell you where to push, where to pace yourself, and where to simply breathe.

You only have so much energy in a day. Seeing your priorities clearly at a glance helps you protect that energy before the day spends it for you.

For a one-minute phone call or a simple reminder, skip the shading entirely. Just draw a line and write it down. Not everything needs emphasis — and that contrast is the point. When everything shouts, nothing does.

Planning a design session from 7:30 to 9:00 PM? Shade two levels, draw your line, then sketch or write something that reminds you to enjoy the process. Chronodex isn't just a scheduler. It's a small conversation with your future self — a nudge toward showing up with intention.

Some versions — like the one produced by MD Product — include small icons to remind you to hydrate or log your mood throughout the day. There's also a task list on the right for anything not tied to a specific time, so nothing slips through the cracks.

Look for a "Focus of the Day" section in select versions to anchor your morning. And at the end of the day, there's a Gratitude note — a small space to acknowledge yourself and what you accomplished. Most of us skip this step, but it matters more than we think.

That's It, use Chronodex however it serves you. There are no rules, only intentions.
