What Lives in Your Mind Finds Its Way Into the World

I walked through a few MTR stations last week with my Chronodex poster just to take some shots of it in front of those iconic colourful station pillars. Held it up against each station's colour scheme. Yellow, red, green—there it was, I realised after getting home: my poster already wore the same colours from the randomly chosen stations on that day.

Not planned. Just noticed.

Recognition, Intent and Meaning

The Chronodex is built on intention. Every circle represents a conscious choice about how you spend time. The colours and wedge sizes? You decide what they mean. Maybe green is deep work. Maybe yellow is the 3pm pivot when plans shift. Maybe red is momentum building toward close of day.

So when I noticed the colour choices I made to create this poster matched the stations I visited, I couldn't help noticing the synchronicity. What came first? My choice of colours on the poster, my decision to go to those exact stations, the naming of those adjoining stations which led to subsequent colour designation by the architect some years ago, my decision to use MTR stations as the backdrop for my photos—it could be causality consciously or subconsciously, it could be mere coincidence. It doesn't matter. What mattered was I NOTICED afterwards. I recognised the connection. I was simply one of the agents helping weave it out.

With INTENTIONS, we translate what already flows through time and space into new realities. We just have to have intention and find the rhythm to catch the wave motion to move things forward. You'll see the connections and patterns as you weave.

To many, time looks linear and operates in one direction only. To me, time is wound up like DNA—there are patterns and codes hidden. If you don't care, there's yet another day lineally passed by. BUT if you have intentions, all the dots mysteriously connect. The more conscious you are of these patterns and codes, the clearer the path reveals itself, the clearer meaning becomes.

Intersection Points

Hong Kong's MTR pulses with the city's energy, but it doesn't dictate movement—it offers possibilities within structure. The Chronodex works the same way. You decide the pathways, with clear intentions, taking you to destinations.

Time flows anyway. To pivot from mundane to splendid, intention is the only move. Every hour on the Chronodex becomes an intersection point where priorities meet. You decide which direction your attention flows next. Time isn't a grid; it's a rhythm you can feel if you pause long enough to listen. It's a song in the making—you're the songwriter catching the rhythm and weaving the notes into a meaningful piece of music.

Why the Colours Exist

In the 1970s when the first MTR lines opened, Hong Kong had high illiteracy rates. Underground with no landmarks, colour became navigation for those who couldn't read station names. Each hue created identity and helped people find their way.

The Chronodex does this for time. Colours create landmarks in formless hours. They answer: where am I in my day, and where next?

Navigation without words. Intuition over rigid schedules.

Penifestation Matters

The poster on my wall isn't only a decoration. It's proof that what lives in your mind finds its way into the world.

Penifestation is more than jotting down ideas. It's making the map visible—the first magical step that affirms your inner compass. Put thoughts and intentions on paper, and the path reveals itself.

Sometimes through art. Sometimes through the accidental alignment of a poster against a station wall.

Bring It Home

I hope you can find chances to reflect on these "tiny" epiphany moments or try to make sense of what happened. It's a vastly important habit that gives you reasons and curiosity to wake up full of energy for the next day.

As for the poster, it is available now on Scription Studio, get it and read the fine print, I'm sure it will create ripples in you.
